Working on R&D for an independent project and testing the capabilities of Blender 2.5 internal render engine.

A breakdown of the single frame render.  The Mesh object has a MatCap texture set to Normal Mapping with enable GLSL in the viewport.  The World is set up with Ambient Occlusion set to multiply, Environment Light with ambient color of black for sky color which the plane surface is receiving almost all of the black., Indirect Lighting reflects the yellowish color of the mesh's diffuse color to the plane surface, with Raytrace gathering set to Approximate.
